You don't mention what isn't playable for you, what hardware you are using or what settings you are using. Please provide more information so that we can assist you.

Which version do you have? Perhaps you have the latest version, in which case, there would be no update available.
Also, if it is the box version then make sure you have Offline Mode disabled.
I assume you are online and have your MyTrainz account entered (required to update).
Depending on where you purchased, you can also download the latest version from your MyTrainz account.
